Data Use & Privacy Disclaimer
Thank you for participating in the PublicEdTech.org Infrastructure & IT Operations Survey.
All survey responses will be publicly accessible in order to promote transparency, shared learning, and collective progress among California's public education institutions. However, we recognize the importance of privacy and discretion in disclosing organizational details.
Anonymity Options: You are welcome to omit any questions you feel should not be publicly disclosed. Where applicable, you may also use the “Other” field to input “N/A” if a question does not apply to your organization or you prefer not to respond. While mechanisms exist to anonymize data and separate identifiers from responses, please understand that certain patterns or details (e.g., location size, device fleet, tool usage) may allow others to infer which organization submitted them.
No Exploitation of Data: This survey is not intended to expose vulnerabilities or create security risks. On the contrary, our goal is to help public organizations benchmark their environments, normalize common infrastructure decisions, and collectively raise the standard of support and security across education.
Standard Practice: It is a common and healthy practice for public agencies to demonstrate the tools, platforms, and strategies they use. When comparisons and shared visibility exist, growth becomes more attainable. In fact, we’ve already seen cases where similar data sharing has helped IT teams secure budget alignment, procurement approvals, and executive buy-in.
Use of Data: Submitted data will be consolidated into reports for public review, trend mapping, and strategic analysis. Aggregated or anonymized insights may also be used in research, advocacy, or shared resource development to benefit the broader K–12 technology ecosystem.
By participating, you are contributing to a broader movement toward modern, transparent, and well-supported public education infrastructure.
If you have concerns about specific questions, we encourage you to skip them or reach out before submission.
Thank you for your trust and your leadership.
